World Rubber Recycling

Tyre Recycling to Equestrian surfacing and fuels

About us

We have been recycling tyres in Rushden, Northamptonshire since 1997, making us one of the longest running tyre recycling companies in the UK. We currently accept Car (including 4x4, van & motorcycle), HGV and Agricultural tyres for recycling. We charge for disposal by weight and all deliveries are charged to the nearest 20kgs using our calibrated weighbridge. There is no minimum charge and you can bring as many or as little as you like. Please call the office for current prices. We shred and granulate on site using specialist shredding machinery to downsize the tyres into usable products. This could be for fuel in specialist kilns, or our main product line: equestrian surfacing.

Our Equestrian Rubber is granulated down to extract the steel from the tyres, passing over or under several strong 'rare earth magnets' along the way. We also remove anything below 6mm as this reduces dust, and increased drainage performance. We ensure our rubber is 99% 6mm to 20mm SBR rubber. Unfortunately, we do not supply this material to be used in children's play areas in any circumstance.

Our Equestrian Rubber can be supplied loose or in bulk bags with any amount in the bag up to 1200 kgs. Common bag weights are 850, 1000 and 1200 kgs depending on requirements. We produce this material to order and usually have a short waiting list as this is our main product line. We can put you in touch with haulage companies or your local broker as required.

We produce a variety of Tyre Derived Fuels (TDF). Please see the products page for more information
